Hilarious and  completely unexpected in an episode I was enjoying already

I think it's been noted here before that Mad Men has some serious foot fetish stuff going on.  You can't wear shoes in Bert's office.  All the bare feet outside the hotel in the out of town episode, and Miss Farrell dancing around the maypole barefoot in the grass.  It is never the point of a scene.  It is always incidental but often there.  I just never expected them to chop a foot off.  Eeek.
