Just for interesting discussion. What career path do you think Dick would have followed had he not assumed Don Drapers identity? With the new identity did he assume a new personality? I feel sometimes he is the Don Draper persona but other times it's Dick. In season 5 I wish they would show how he came to NY and a little more about the way he became "Don."

Yes, at some point he left Anna in California and went to seek his fortune in NYC, working for a furrier. Seems an odd juxtaposition. Of course, he seems to have always had an interest in sales: used cars, furs, advertising...
