1) Early 1964, a New England toy company comes to Sterling Cooper for a campaign for their new toy line. It is offered to Paul, who dismisses the line as a failure, saying no boy would ever want a doll. So Peggy and Smitty get the GI Joe account.
2) Don meets up with a wealthy playboy who lives in a mansion outside of town. We never see his face, as he is always in shadows. During one of their meetings, Don asks his "Who are you?" line. Michael Keaton jumps out of shadows and proclaims "I'M BATMAN!!!" Yours? |

Joan returns to SC, stays married to Greg, but stays behind while he gets shipped off to Vietnam. His fellow soldiers get fed up with his constant whining and self-pity and they eventually kill him.

Peggy and Kinsey fall in love, get married and expatriate. Joanie comes back when her awful husband is killed in 'Nam. Pete gets a promotion, and Sal comes out of the closet, gets a huge fashion account and rubs his success in all their faces!! And I think there should be a murder, perhaps Betty kills Don in a fit of passion? Remember her holding that shotgun, aiming at the birds?

I'd like to see:
Peggy, Kinsey, Cosgrove, Smitty, and Kurt break off and start their own company, picking up the Pepsi account (for a new generation.) Greg will washout of OTS, and have to become a medic grunt where he'll earn the nickname "Dr. Death" and gets fragged anyway, like JetSet wrote. Jane dumps Roger, who dies broke and alone. Mourned only by Joan. Sal becomes a fab fashion designer, and the toast of the town. Pete gets assigned a new accounts guy that's even weaselier than he is, and so has to continually watch his own back. Burt dies of athlete's foot, and they bury him with his ugly paintings. Lois becomes the new office manager. Everyone wears steel-toed shoes. Duck gets transfered to Gray's Bombay office. Don has a "Kodachrome" moment where all his women appear together for one night. Betty finally grows up. |

@ dondrapersfedors - Kinsey isn't exactly given accounts all the time, and even if that were to happen with GI Joe, there's no way he'd turn his nose up at it. His solitary focus is to impress Draper.
I mean, the creative department's job is simply to dream up tag lines and then slap on some pretty pictures. Although Paul is a huge snob, anybody who walks through their agency's doors is a potential client, and therefore, a potential money maker for both the agency and himself. Plus, Kinsey considers himself to be a progressive intellectual type; he wouldn't gender stereotype like that and think that boys shouldn't play with dolls. @ infinitemess - Betty was not holding a shotgun when she aimed at the neighbor's pigeons. That was a Red Ryder BB gun. Sheeeeesh! |
