I loved the underground gambling scene. I felt bad for Freddie, one could tell he was faking it, but Roger's the boss and "living his life"!
What was Sterling's first password guess? And Don saying his name was "Tilden Katz". Good stuff! I was also happy to see Don give Jimmy a knuckle-sandwich. Although we not have seen evidence Jimmy is a playboy too and Don gave Jimmy what Jimmy deserved. Roger... man... he might be the biggest playboy of them all! |

I liked the gambling scene, too. Didn't Sterling first guess "swordfish"? And what was up with Don using Rachel's husband's name as his alias? That was a hoot and I have to wonder if Don was wearing one of his new shirts from Menken's that evening?
My favorite scene was watching the reactions of Sal(amused), Peggy (shocked), and Pete (disgusted)as Freddy loses it. |

Swordfish... that was it!
Peggy, I thought I payed attention to detail but you are good; I totally forgot about the Menken's shirt. The Freddie scene did show the personalities of three people. I personally would have reacted like Peggy. |

To get back to Don's original post, I have to say I couldn't tell Freddy was faking a good time. To me he looked to be enjoying himself at the gambling table, living in the moment. Reality hit later when it came time to say 'good nite/good bye.' I wonder if we'll see Freddy again this season or next? What do you think? And do you have sympathy for Freddy's situation or think he deserved to be cut loose from SC? Roger vomited up a belly-full of oysters, gin and martini-olives at a clients' feet last season in the very public SC reception area; but oh, well, he's the boss. At least Freddy pissed in the privacy of his own office with just 3 co-workers present--too bad one of them is such a snake! Isn't office politics interesting? I'm curious to see how the Duck-Pete and Don-Peggy alliances will play out. DP vs DP!! ha ha ha

I think that Betty is setting her friend up to be miserable, just so she doesn't feel so alone. I think the Freddy firing is just that, they will pay him for 6 months and we never hear from him again, unless he kills himself,... might be if there is any parallel to mm suicide. Roger is such a cad, and more. He is due for some serious pain, and I don't mean physical. What a hypocrite.. he can puke, but Freddy gets fired. I feel bad for Freddy, he is right, clients know him and like him...

Roger's not a hypocrite... he's just "the man"-- I love the working world!

So, why did Don punch Jimmy? It would seem that he did him a favor by telling Betty what was going on. After all, didn't Don say he was relieved?
