How can I retieve all the music of these episodes? Even to find out the artists and song names would be helpful.

That was Johnny Mathis.
There is a collection of music from both seasons 1 and 2 on iTunes Here's the track listing: Season One On the Street Where You Live - Vic Damone Volare - The McGuire Sisters Lipstick - David Carbonara P.S. I Love You - Bobby Vinton Botch-A-Me (Remastered) - Rosemary Clooney Fly Me to the Moon (In Other Words) - Julie London Caravan (Instrumental) [Remastered] - Gordon Jenkins Manhattan - Ella Fitzgerald & Buddy Bregman Orchestra I Can Dream, Can't I? - The Andrews Sisters Shangri-La - Robert Maxwell Babylon - David Carbonara Mad Men Suite - David Carbonara A Beautiful Mine - Aceyalone & RJD2 Season Two Early In the Morning - Peter, Paul and Mary Congratulations Honey - Baby Washington & The Plants How Mable Get Sable Cha Cha Cha - David Carbonara Lollipops and Roses - Jack Jones The Infanta - The Decemberists Blue Room - Perry Como Break It to Me Gently - Brenda Lee Telstar - The Tornadoes Let's Twist Again - Chubby Checker Pot Can't Talk About the Kettle - Helene Smith Crooked Woman - Edd Henry A Beautiful Mine (Retro Remix) - Jim Jacobsen Of course, not everything is on these two. I've used them as the basis for a mix and added music I can remember playing around the house when I was a kid (Dean Martin, Dave Brubeck, etc.) plus some of the "Sketches of Spain" tracks from that wonderfully bittersweet episode where Don smoked some pot and bid Midge farewell. |

The Mad Men soundtracks are great. Perry Comon, Helene Smith, Ella Fitzgerald and Julie London's version of Fly Me To The Moon.
Couldn't be better! I wonder what music they will put in season 3. __________________ |

Oh how they use music to fascinate, to punctuate and tie it all together.
One of my favorite scenes of the entire series. Episode 12 "The Mountain King" Don is on the beach, walking into the surf, disappearing and reappearing as the waves and the words and music of George Jones' "A cup of Loneliness" wash over him. One of the most powerful scenes in the entire series... |

For me nothing could ever top Bobby Helms "You are My Special Angel" playing as Betty shoots down the neighbors pigeons in her nightgown with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. This scene is more like something of out a David Lynch film than Mad Men but what a powerful, lingering image!
