Hey what will be of Betty, will she still be the primary role of Mad Men's fourth season given that she won the AMC award’s third season? If you remember in the previous episode, Don's wife was going west with another man on a train, glimmering assumptions that we may not see more of Don's family life.

I hate to see an actress lose a job, but it might be time for January Jones to leave the show. They've wrung out the Betty/Don relationship enough to make it tired, and I'm not sure that aspect of the show interests me, really.
I've always been more interested in the office politics. The home-lives of these characters should only be serving as a backdrop for their actions at work, IMO. The writers have done a good job with Pete, in that respect. You see what you need to know, and his actions at the office make sense, in that context. When they delve into characters like Betty, you're left wondering, "who cares?" |

Its funny how we all differ - the office politics bores me somewhat! I'm all about the home lives and the affairs... probably because I'm a woman and I love a good scandal

Just took a look at the piddly little previews on the AMC website. Looks like Betty will be back in some capacity. I guess we're not rid of her so easily. Hopefully things with Henry went sour, and she has to come crawling back.
I agree with Peter. The business dynamics interest me far more than the soggy homelife soap opera. That really bogged down the middle part of season 3, IMO. |

I really hope they keep her, cause he's the source of alot of the drama in the show. Plus, she's done some awesome stuff, like that time she shot her neighbors birds. Betty is very unpredictable at times.

I think balance of private life and office life is perfect just the way it is. I would not change a thing.

I would agree. I like the work-life balance of the show as it is. I just think that the show would benefit by showing a little less Betty for the time being.
I think she will realize that she loves Don. She now knows his secret. She is angry that he is emotionally cold and detached from her. It would be interesting if they got back together but hopefully that will not happen until season 5. I think that the show will focus more on their kids this season. It would be interesting to see how the kids adjust to the divorce. They lived the American Dream but it was shattered. I hope that Don gets to raise them. Betty never seemed like a loving mother to me. |

Of course Betty will remain; she's a cold woman who seems to only respond to men she can't be with -- that was Henry, and now it will be Don.

She will remain--she is Sally's mother! I think the Sally storyline is going be more prominent as she gets older, and that kid has soooooo many mommy issues.
