Thought this was an especially fitting song for Don at the end of ep. 401:
TOBACCO ROAD by The Nashville Teens I was born in a trunk. Mama died and my daddy got drunk. Left me here to die alone in the middle of Tobacco Road. Growin' up rusty shack, all I had was hangin' on my back. Only you know how I loathe this place called Tobacco Road. But it's home, the only life I ever known. Only you know how I loathe Tobacco Road. Gonna leave, get a job with the help and the grace from above. Save some money, get rich and old, bring it back to Tobacco Road. But it's home, the only life I ever known. Only you know how I loathe Tobacco Road. Bring that dynamite and a crane, blow it up, start all over again. Build a town, be proud to show. Gives the name Tobacco Road |

Wow, more than a twinge of irony with the ending credits Peggy Lee song for The Chrysanthemum and the Sword .
"When I have a brand new hairdo With my eyelashes all in curls I float as the clouds on air do I enjoy being a girl..." |

I just recently re-watched an episode from season 2, "Maidenform". The first scene shows the main female characters getting dressed, and they play a modern song, from around 2004-2008-ish. It was the first time I noticed that they've used any contemporary music in the series!
Does anyone recall any other instances when there has been music used from a time after the 60's? |

@ Drapery, I can't recall the episode but they had indie band the Decemberists in a season 2 opening scene.
