Joan's husband is KIA. (Thank you, Charlie!)
Peggy burns her bra. Joan thinks about it but realizes, since she's preggers, it's probably not a good idea. Don's quicky marriage to Snaggletooth ends in a quicky divorce. (Please, please!) Burt dies offscreen. In fact, his funeral may be the way they open the season. Roger realizes he's way past his prime (and all his clients are dead) and wants the partners to buy him out. Pete gains more power within the firm through a combination of luck and guile. Betty is unhappy. |

Glenn Bishop gets drafted and sent to Vietnam. While there one of his comrades ends up dead and he steals his identity and comes back to the city. In season 7 he gets a job at Sterling Cooper.

Don turns on, tunes in, drops out -- Given Don's past flirtation with pot and pills, that isn't beyond the realm of possibilty. But after seeing what heroin addiction did to Midge, I see him being attracted more to the "Free Love" movement.

Gotta be a big year for Peggy and her frustrations about equal opportunity for company advancement -- hoping Don steps up for her on this

I just had this image in my head of Don, Pete, Lane, and Roger sitting in a boardroom talking about equal opportunity. :O

Am I really the only one that likes Megan with Don?
Dr. Harris is never coming back. Good riddance. Betty will be unhappy. |

Well, AMC did want Matt Wiener to cut some cast members. Betty and Henry would be an easy choice. Other than handing off the kids, their storyline barely intersects with Dons' anymore.
Same with Bert. He exited what he thought was a sinking ship and, as I noted above, could easily be written off as retired or deceased. |

I don't think Betty will go anywhere -- except back to Don? Maybe she can play the other woman now while he's married to Megan. Turnabout is fair play, as Alan Ludden used to say in the password TV show

Betty is sticking around and the best way to do that is to put her in the mix with Don again.

Peggy and Don? Really? I don't see that coming at all. I don't think she wants Don but rather wants to be him. That will be her triumph. To reach the pinnical of acheivement and retain her morals and her humnity. And Don will see it and be the only onw who truly understands.

I honestly think the storyline with Betty will be the most intriguing for Season 5. Mad Men has always done well with plots focusing on women's choices/lives. They have to do something with her and, for the amount they pay JJ, she'll be around for some time. Don will likely be the one who is unhappy as the quick fix will doom him. I see Peggy and Pete being resurrected as their storylines stalled a bit last year. The doctor will be KIA and JOan and Roger can continue to figure their situation out. The nice thing about Season 4 was the big shift to being a startup again. Can we really expect as big a change for Season 5?

Did Don come out to Peggy? I don't recall. I think Pete hinted to her once or twice that Don was not who he appeared. I know that Don has told Anna, Betty, and the Doc.
Only one of those turned out well. |

By season six, I predict that Betty and Don will be back together in some form - possibly remarried.

A lot has happened in America since 1964, including the advertising industry's grasp of the power of black and minority dollars. If its creators are the sticklers for historical detail we've been led to believe they are, there's good reason to expect to see some darker faces in the offices of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce before long.

Hi everybody,
I am looking forward to the show's re-opening. Haha, yes, Betty will be unhappy. What else could she be? Maybe the new Mrs. Draper will be obsessively jealous of Betty and drive Don back into her arms.....nah, I don't think so, though that is a common soap plot. I don't really see a place for Betty. JJ is such a stiff actress, what do you do with her? Can there be zombies in the show? Or vampires? Don will now be on the other side of the age divide. It was said in that era, don't trust anybody over 30, and he is well over. The show belongs to Don and so which way will he go? If he is happy and faithful to Meagan, what fun is that for us? Joan will have her baby and Roger will realize it is his. That's a no-brainer. Peggy starts up her own agency a la Mary Wells, was that her name? Everybody smokes weed and wears bell bottoms. Oh god, I already lived through this once. |

My hope, dream opening for the show wound once again show Don’s bare feet on the cold floor but it would be the floor of his prison cell. The first episode is of his last day serving his stint for defrauding the government and desertion. He steps outside and it’s the loopy summer of love 1969 and his world has gone to shit. He moves to California and tries his hand in Los Angeles / Hollywood. He’s past his prime for college free love and gets bitter at the rejection.

Joan’s baby situation is to kill off her husband in Vietnam?
It seems too easy. The drama is too good to pass up. Then again, almost no drama has come from Peggy’s love child, so who knows. I suspect that Matthew Weiner wouldn’t take the easy way out when dealing with another baby mess, this time around. Roger may find himself at the end of the doctor's hypodermic needle. AAT Sally will lose her virginity to GLEN! |

OR... Glen could loose his virginity to Betty.
You are right that Joan's hubby won't be killed off, I like to think he will get carted off the MASH unit in a strightjacket just like Doctor Frank Burns did in the movie version of MASH. |

Like most “Mad Men” fans, I have issues with the hasty engagement. Think of the crazy-teeth babies that will inevitably be produced. Don’s prospective second marriage is a very bad idea becase — let’s face it — he makes for a very bad husband. Elizabeth Moss’ Peggy Olsen character, will apparently feature significantly in the Season Five premiere entitled “A Little Kiss.” If Don and Peggy kiss? She’s too good for him, right? Wrong.... Peggy is THE woman for Don, perfect match!

It's amazing how everybody hates Don+Megan thing! We don't want Don to change from smokin' drinkin' cheatin' yellin' to "i think i'm in love with you".
He'll keep smokin' drinkin' for sure. May be that &^% givin' lady, what's her name, will be there as a lover. Peggy's character is getting stronger and stronger, I hope Don will find a reason to yell anyway. |

Lmao no one likes it because that's not the don we love. in the next season don isn't going to stop drinking smoking or cheating (sucks for megan) but o well . Technically he kinda ”cheated” on meagan with the blonde chick.that left when the agency almost went under. I don't remember her name but I liked her for don. Anddd, she knew DICK . And I hope they don't make peggy start to fall for don. I like peggy. And if they do this, it would ruin peggys character for me. |
